Description |
The ‘Young People Friendly Neighbourhoods’ (YPFN) programme will create a platform for Groundwork to build its support for young people and communities in some of the country’s most disadvantaged communities. Working with Sanctuary Housing, FPM and Youth Access, Groundwork will provide early interventions in 20 target communities experiencing intergenerational breakdown, and through intensive personalised support, will help 1,750 marginalised young people improve their behaviours, skills and prospects. The programme is grant funded through the Department for Education. Alongside this delivery, Groundwork Trusts will access specialist support to help local partnerships develop robust plans for future financial sustainability, in particular through the application of mutual structures. The programme will generate learning of national significance for local authorities and other organisations exploring how best to commission, manage and sustain services for young people. Groundwork supports communities in need, working with partners to improve the quality of people’s lives, their prospects and potential, and the places where they live, work and play. Groundwork’s vision is of a society of sustainable communities which are vibrant, healthy and safe, which respect the local and global environment and where individuals and enterprise prosper. We work alongside communities, public bodies, private companies and other voluntary sector organisations to deliver projects and programmes that bring about concurrent social, economic and environmental benefits. Groundwork UK invites firm tenders for the impact evaluation of the YPFN programme in England. A mixture of quantitative and qualitative research is required.
