Landell Mills is currently looking for a Fisheries Management Specialist in Samoa and Tonga, which is currently at the tendering stage.
Qualifications and skills:
A post graduate university degree or equivalent practical experience, in fisheries science or management, natural resources management, or a field directly related to the assignment;
The expert should have a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English;
Proven team leading skills
General professional experience:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in fisheries management;
Proven report-writing, project management and facilitation skills;
Specific professional experience:
Experience in drafting fisheries management plans (minimum 3 assignments);
Experience in carrying out stock assessment (minimum 2 assignments);
Related experience in the Pacific region is required and experience in both oceanic and inshore fisheries is an advantage;
Experience in carrying out consultancy assignments for the EU or other equivalent international development partners (minimum of 3 assignments);
