Make a world of difference in the conservation of Southwest Australia Ecoregion

 WWF-Australia, the global conservation organisation, is seeking a skilled conservation strategist to build on the foundations of ourSouthwest Australiaconservation planning initiative. The initiative is a partnership of key decision makers across business, government, NGOs, community and Indigenous groups with a focus on achieving tangible large scale conservation outcomes. The position works closely with existing partners and builds new relationships to achieve identified objectives.

With a track record in delivering large cross-sectoral conservation strategies and programs the successful candidate requires:

  • High level planning skills and experience utilising systematic conservation planning tools within the context of large scale conservation project management;
  • Strong advocacy, interpersonal and influencing skills with a successful record of networking and partnering with government, research organisations, industry groups and community to facilitate delivery of partnerships at scale;
  • High level verbal and communication skills with demonstrated experience in developing technical submissions and policy positions;
  • Strong people and financial management skills

A working knowledge of WWF’s ecoregion programs, an understanding of the environmental context of the Southwest Australia Ecoregion, and established national and international networks will be highly regarded.
