Sustainable Business Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role 

As one of four business managers, the position manages a portfolio of strategic business partnerships, alliances with retailers, brands and manufacturers designed to catalyse the shift to sustainable supply chains and reduce the environmental and social impacts of business. The focus of this role is to maintain and build relationships, engagement levels, and marketing initiatives to deliver aligned business partnerships and WWF-Australia environmental conservation and sustainable development goals. 

Skills, knowledge and experience

•  Experience in marketing or business development in an account management capacity.

• Experience developing and implementing new and progressive partnerships initiatives.

• A knowledge of sustainable business practices.

• A track record of forecasting and raising income against targets.

• Strong middle to senior business manager relationship and network management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal skills with experience in writing and presenting business proposals to small to medium sized groups.

• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, stewardship, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Experience in utilising digital, event and branding strategies to leverage key messages.

• Project management, planning, monitoring and reporting skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a flexible team environment.

A knowledge of environmental management as it applies to sustainable business along with tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, sustainability, environment management or other related field or equivalent experience is desirable.
