Sustainability Project Officer (x1)

6 Months Fixed-term

£23-£26k per annum pro rata

London 

Over the last year NUS has reached 50,000 staff and 130,000 students across 80 tertiary education institutions with our sustainability engagement projects. Working with our member students’ unions, we seek to create a social norm of sustainability on campuses, helping students to pick up pro-environmental attitudes, behaviours and habits that will last a lifetime. www.nus.org.uk/greener 

Due to continued demand from universities and colleges, we are now recruiting for a new Project Officers that will deliver our award-winning engagement programmes, Green Impact and Student Switch Off, into individual institutions. 

You will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the projects at a number of universities and colleges each academic year, including planning, communications, running events, driving social media, and reporting. You will lead on managing our relationship with various stakeholders at each institution, as well as being the interface between NUS and individuals across each institution and students’ union.   

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who has experience of delivering successful engagement programmes and a track-record of being able to develop great relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will need to be confident, reliable and flexible, able to juggle multiple demands on your time, and happy to work both as a close-knit team and remotely.
