Sustainability Project Officer

Sustainability at the University of Leeds has a high profile and is being embedded throughout the organisation; these changes are being driven through our ambitious new Integrated Sustainability Strategy. This strategy integrates research and innovation, student education and operations together, driving collaboration and inspiring change.

As Sustainability Project Officer, you will support the Sustainability Manager and the Service  in the implementation and communication of the Sustainability Strategy and objectives, through the delivery of sustainability projects and commitments within the core Strategy themes. In particular as part of the Sustainability Service you will play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the sustainable travel plan and sustainable procurement activity.

You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a sustainability related discipline, have excellent knowledge and understanding of sustainability and have proven experience of delivering successful sustainability programmes and projects. You will also possess a good understanding of sustainable travel and how to facilitate change in this area.

You will have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with people at all levels and establish and maintain effective working relationships.  You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to work independently on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You will also have strong IT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). 

University Grade 6 (£25,513- £30,434 p.a.)
