We are looking for a skilled and experienced Horticulturist to join our tropical team responsible for managing and maintaining the plant displays and exhibits in the Rainforest Biome. You will be expected to work to very high standards and have a good eye for detail. An all round knowledge of tropical horticultural skills will be necessary, as well as the ability to develop a specialist understanding for specific areas of responsibility. Ideally you will be a qualified to at least Diploma level (or hold an equivalent qualification) with proven experience in tropical horticulture with preferably tropical ecology experience. Machinery competence and pesticide application, Pa1 and Pa6 qualifications would be an advantage. You will need to be a team player with good communication skills and a pro-active approach. Knowledge of Tropical Island and/or Amazonian plants would be particularly advantageous. Interviews to be held in August with a flexible start date. |
