Sludge Technician (Ref: WAS00564JW)
£18,033 - £22,053 pa + shift allowance + pension + generous holiday allowance + private health care

Working on a shift rota basis, youll be part of a team of technical experts that will work together to provide a 24 hour operational maintenance service for our state-of-the-art sludge treatment process based at our Great Billing Sewage Treatment Works.

This team orientated position will see you play a vital role in keeping our sludge treatment machinery in peak condition. To ensure it delivers optimum performance levels, you'll carry out tasks such as making adjustments to chemical dosing, sludge feed rates and belt or centrifuge speeds, as well as general maintenance including machine care, checking oil levels, belt alignment and lubrication. You'll also take samples of the recycled product that we sell to the agricultural sector and ensure we're reaching the required standards.

We're looking for someone with a relevant level 2/3 NVQ or equivalent in Craft or Science, combined with a good background in mechanics. Skills in numeracy and literacy are also key, and a valid UK driving licence is essential for this role. Shift working will be required.
