London Array Offshore Wind Farm is a joint venture between DONG Energy, EON and Marsdar. London Array will be the world's largest offshore wind farm when phase 1 is producing electricity in 2012. DONG Energy has been appointed by London Array to be the operations and maintenance service provider.

As such we are building up substantial wind farm business in Ramsgate, Kent. We are therefore looking for a Site Manager for the London Array Offshore Wind Farm.

Areas of responsibility

You will be responsible for all technical and people management on site.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • provide leadership and day to day management of the London Array operation
  • ensure the business operates successfully within agreed frameworks, achieving key performance indicators
  • take ownership for health and safety requirements on site
  • provide line management support to the growing and developing team
  • be responsible for communicating with and providing reports to the Executive Committee
  • be accountable for chairing management meetings with key stakeholders as required.

Your profile

You will have the ability to demonstrate depth of experience in a similar leadership role.

You will have significant experience in operational, engineering or utilities management.

You will have considerable management competence in both the spheres of technical and people management.

Experience in working in health and safety critical environments and the ability to demonstrate a strong awareness of the subsequent implications is essential.

You will be able to inspire and motivate a group of skilled employees. Furthermore, you will have a results orientated approach to your work combined with the ability to deliver excellent results through taking an innovative approach to every day work challenges.
