The successful candidate holds a PhD or equivalent experience in animal or livestock production science. Research experience in dairy systems is essential and a track record in successful bidding for projects, understanding of participatory research and experience of organic/low-input systems are desirable. You should also have a track record of scientific and conference publications and some experience of working within international research consortia; experience of project and staff management would be desirable. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are vital. The post will be based at Elm Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Berkshire, where we offer a friendly working environment and diverse day-to-day work. UK and EU travel will be needed and an ability to drive is essential.
