Job Summary:

 

Our client is a leading consultancy, seeking to appoint a Sustainability Consultant to join their growing team in London. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and experienced consultant with a broad understanding of sustainability.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to support organisations to develop and implement practical sustainability strategies, with project working ranging from the Rio 2016 Olympics to feasibility studies for community scale infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

 

The Senior Sustainability Consultant will:

 

  • Develop sustainability objectives for clients.
  • Research solutions to improve environmental performance.
  • Input to technical appraisal and evaluation of different options.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings.
  • Produce technical reports and presentations.
  • Develop tools and processes to support the implementation of sustainability.
  • Sometimes have to contribute to BREEAM work.
  • Project manage and assist with financial reporting.
  • Liaise with clients and contribute to business development.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

 

The Senior Sustainability Consultant will have:

 

  • BEng/BSc and a Masters degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Proven consultancy experience and experience of managing strategic relationships.
  • Experience in business development (including writing pitch material).
  • Project management experience.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution e.g. CIBSE, ICE, IWN and be chartered.
  • Expertise in sustainable built environment (including areas such as energy, transport or materials and waste systems).
  • An excellent knowledge of policies and solutions relating to sustainability.
  • Experience of demonstrating the value of different solutions through whole life cost models and appraisal tools.
  • The ability to build tools and experience of modelling complex analysis problems.
  • Ideally BREEAM AP, SKA and/or LEED AP accreditation.
