Join us and become our new Senior Project Development Manager in our department Project Management, Offshore Development in Wind Power.

You will be joining one of the leading companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 20 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources. Our business is based on producing, distributing and trading energy and related products in Northern Europe.

The department Project Management, Offshore Development consists of Project Development Managers, who manages the offshore projects across the different markets through the development stages from the idea to the maturation phase. 

You will be based at our office in Hamburg, and you should expect a number of business travels nationally and abroad.

Areas of responsibility
Your tasks will focus on project management of offshore wind activities in Northern Europe from origination to construction. The purpose of the role as Senior Project Development Manager is to secure value creation by developing and optimising wind power projects which are technical and economical viable.

As Senior Project Development Manager you will ensure overall business objectives of the development project are met with regards to the overall project business case, timeline, budget and agreed scope, specifications & quality, incl. ensuring required resources.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to
• manage budgets and programmes for the development of offshore wind projects
• liaise with internal and external specialist consultants to ensure optimum technical and economical design
• prepare reports on project status for the steering Committee and our Senior Management group
• manage procurement activities for services required for the development phase
• plan and analyse the strategy for project implementation and prepare procurement for execution of the project

Your profile
Ideally you will have relevant engineering background or a Master’s Degree in Engineering and a good understanding of commercial matters.

Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate strong project management skills combined with a suitable level of experience matching the seniority of the position.

We expect that you have experience from working in multi-disciplinary teams. It will be beneficial if you have experience from the wind power industry or the marine environment.

You will have excellent communication skills, and as a team player you will communicate well with colleagues at all organisational levels. It is essential that you have good English and German proficiencies and speak and write English and German fluently. 
You will be a dynamic professional and be able to find both constructive and practical solutions to all kinds of operational and technical challenges. Additionally, you will be a proactive player who wishes to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues in order to contribute actively to the development and improvements within the field of offshore wind farms.
