POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Senior Program Conservation Manager Reports to: GHOA NI Leader / Regional Conservation Director Location: Yaounde, Cameroon Date: October 22, 2009 I. Mission of the Department: To ensure CARPO/GHOA programmes delivers conservation impact in accordance with the GHOA NI strategic plan. Develop and streamline implementation of GHOA NI work plan alongside country and landscape work plans and ensure progress ensuring timely development and implementation of work plans and budgets, ensure synergies and coherence across countries and landscapes for the implementation of the CARPO/GHOA workplan The Regional Programme Conservation Manager provides support for the Conservation’s field operations and serves as the focal point for NI work plan field implementation. II Major duties and responsibilities As requested by the Regional Conservation Director:

Profile: Required Qualifications • An advanced degree or equivalent work experience in environmental, and/or relevant social, natural or political sciences; • Technical proficiency in the field of conservation, natural-resource management or international development; • 3-5 years professional experience (with at least 2 years in the Congo Basin region), with demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple donor budgets. Required Skills • Good technical, organizational, interpersonal and teambuilding skills essential; • Proven experience in effectively coordinating large complex programmes and associated budgets, with strong project management skills; • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with multiple teams located in multiple locations (virtual teams); • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in French and English; Behavioural competencies • Adheres to WWF’s values, which are: Passionate & Optimistic, Challenging & Inspiring, Credible & Accountable, Persevering & Delivering Results. • Demonstrates potential in the following critical competencies:
