Job title: Senior/ Principal EIA Consultant

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 + Benefits

Job Summary:

 

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior or Principal EIA Consultant to become part of a leading global environmental consultancy. Due to expansion, this opportunity will be based in London, within a well-respected and dynamic team working on urban regeneration, healthcare, property and energy sector projects.

 

The varied workload will require sound knowledge of the EIA and planning process, as well as technical expertise within the London development market.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Core duties include:

  • Managing EIA’s for property/ energy/ infrastructure/ environmental developments
  • Coordination of in-house and external specialists for multidisciplinary environmental and engineering projects
  • Managing budgets, fee proposals and junior consultants
  • Drafting Environmental Statement (ES) chapters, technical reports and presentations
  • Contributing to other services such as waste management, carbon management, sustainability assessment, environmental management and due diligence when required.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

 

The ideal Senior/Principal EIA Consultant will have:

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline
  • Appropriate professional membership and/or Chartered Environmentalist status
  • Technical specialisms (e.g. Noise, Air Quality etc.) desirable but not essential
  • Experience in EIA coordination and awareness of planning process
  • Experience in preparing Environmental Statements and working on a variety of complex projects at one time
  • Client communication, fee proposal preparation and project management experience
  • Full UK driving license
