Description

Job Purpose:  To technically assess complex environmental permit applications, including those for sites of high public or political interest, from a variety of process industry sites, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the decisions taken are protective of the environment whilst supporting economic growth. 

Job Specific Criteria:

  1. Education to degree level or equivalent in a directly relevant scientific discipline, preferably Chemistry, Physics or Engineering (essential)
  2. Strong customer focussed approach to delivery (essential)
  3. Effective planning and organisational skills (essential)
  1. Effective communication skills (essential)
  2. Practical experience of the application of relevant environmental legislation to the regulation or operation of process industry sites (essential)
  3. At least two years’ experience of working in process industry, regulation or environmental consultancy (essential)

Welsh Language Requirements:

The Welsh language skills required for the post are at Level 1.
