Senior Marine Water Quality ModellerJob Location: Cardiff or Bangor Job purposeThe post holder will be the technical lead for water quality coastal modelling within NRW. The role will provide support and advice to those assessing planning/permit applications that will directly (discharges) and indirectly (coastal structures) affect coastal water quality. The post holder will help to inform Welsh Government Policy and aspirations for coastal water quality. Job Specific ResponsibilitiesDelivering Results
Building strong stakeholder relationships
Job Specific RequirementsA degree in a numerical discipline (e.g. engineering or mathematics), with a detailed understanding of coastal hydrodynamic and water quality processes. Experience in the development and application of numerical coastal models for impact assessment is required. You’ll possess proven ability and/or knowledge in the following areas:
Welsh Level 1- The ability to use basic Welsh conversational phrases (E.g. bore da – good morning) and to pronounce Welsh place names correctly Personal Responsibilities
StatusThis is a permanent, pensionable full-time appointment of 37 hours a week.
