Areas of responsibility As a Senior Geoscientist you will be responsible for licence and regional seismic interpretation (2D and 3D) and the integration of well data and projects ranging from large scale regional studies to focussed discovery evaluations Furthermore, your key duties will include:
Your profile It is essential that you will have a bachelor degree or equivalent in Geoscience. Ideally you will have a relevant MSc or PhD qualification. It is essential that you will have in depth technical knowledge coupled with knowledge of prospect generation and evaluation of volume and risks. Ideally, you will demonstrate working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative seismic methods, including rock physics and seismic modelling. It is essential that you can demonstrate significant practical working experience with seismic interpretation and analysis, including some time spent with an operator. Furthermore, you will have experience of exploration life cycle from prospect generation to well planning and discovery appraisal. In addition, you will have experience of taking opportunities through Peer Review and making recommendations to senior management. Ideally, you will have general North Sea/Atlantic Margin experience coupled with experience from a variety of stratigraphic and structural settings in other hydrocarbon provinces. In addition, a proven track record as a prospect generator will be advantageous. You will demonstrate a willingness to travel independently to our other sites and partner sites as required. |
