Job Summary:

Our Client is one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary consultancies, providing technical, commercial and project management support services to a myriad of energy sectors worldwide including Oil and Gas, Renewables and Nuclear sectors.    

Due to a healthy pipeline of projects, they are currently looking to strengthen their Aberdeen office with an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant.  The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to provide Health Safety and Environmental support to a variety of on and offshore projects specialising in Petroleum exploration and production operations, Oil, gas and gas liquids processing.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The Senior Environmental Consultant will be responsible for:

  • The management of projects from a wide range of sectors including; oil and gas, renewables and nuclear industries
  • Technical input and delivery of EIAs and oil spill contingency planning
  • Technical input and assessment of project work from conception to delivery
  • Provision of management system support
  • Guidance and mentoring of the junior staff

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Health and Safety etc.)
  • Proven consultancy experience
  • An understanding of offshore consenting (North Sea knowledge preferable)
  • Auditing experience and knowledge of HSE management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to demonstrate these in a client facing environment
  • A willingness to travel to both onshore and offshore project sites
