Aspen is seeking a policy analyst or economist to join its Energy Economics practice.  This position requires:

  • Experience in energy economics and analytic assessments to support energy policy or client decisions
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5 to 10 years of experience working in the energy industry, time in consulting a plus
  • Experience building and using complex spreadsheet and other models
  • Ability to draw broad linkages that integrate concepts across disciplines
  • Ability to dissect complex topics to simplest form and explain verbally as well as formal reports and focused presentations
  • Commitment to giving clients sound assessment of critical issues
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • High degree of persistence and determination
  • Self-starter and willingness to work overtime hours as needed
  • Professional attitude and presence with commitment to on-time, on-budget and as-promised results delivery
