Interested in Economics as if the planet mattered?

The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) has been a strong and effective voice for the environment for over 45 years and is committed to inspiring people to achieve a healthy environment for all Australians.

ACF’s advocacy to protect the environment increasingly involves economic analysis, and ACF has set a long-term strategic priority to create an ecologically sustainable economy. As a crucial component of this goal, ACF is developing a programme of work to promote alternative economic tools that incorporate environmental values, and to pursue innovative projects that demonstrate ecological economic approaches in practice.

We are seeking a persuasive and proactive economist with knowledge and experience of environmental issues to assist ACF to rapidly develop this area of work. The successful applicant will work with our team to drive the deep transformations in economics and economic policy needed to create a sustainable and genuinely prosperous society.

This position is based in ACF’s office in the award-winning 60L green building in Melbourne.
