Hyder Cresswell, an operating division of Arcadis, provides ecological advice and services to the planning, construction and development industry, and to statutory and non-statutory organisations. Our work encompasses all disciplines of ecology, nature conservation and biodiversity. We have approaching 20 years of experience undertaking ecological surveys and assessments, as well as the provision of advice on soil, land use, hydrological and sustainable drainage issues, arboriculture and cultural heritage. During this time, we have undertaken nearly 2000 projects covering a wide range of environmental disciplines throughout the UK, in Europe and beyond, for public and private clients. Presently, we are engaged on a variety of large and interesting projects, including Highway and Rail Schemes, Power Stations, Electrical and Gas Infrastructure, and Residential Developments, and are working for a wide selection of clients based throughout the UK, including EDF Energy, National Grid, the Environment Agency, Transport for London, Network Rail, Wrap, The Canals and Rivers Trust and Housing Associations. Requirements: Having secured some major schemes, we are seeking to recruit a number of high calibre Senior Ecologists, to be based across our offices, but primarily in Warrington, Stroud, Cardiff, Bristol and/or London. You will need to have gained proven consultancy experience working on a broad spectrum of ecology schemes for construction and development projects. You will be responsible for managing delivery of the ecological elements of projects to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets, managing the client relationship so that delivery meets or exceeds expectations. You will take a key role with the project team, providing both direction and technical advice and leading by example.
