The Job

Our client are seeking an accomplished, dynamic, enthusiastic and diligent ecologist to join our Ecology Team to work on challenging projects at all scales and across a variety of sectors including joint projects with our Habitats Team who deliver ecological mitigation, habitat creation, restoration and management schemes.

Our client would like to hear from professional ecologists who apply a practical, intelligent and pioneering approach to project delivery and have experience applying current ecology legislation, planning policy, survey standards and licensing requirements plus the provision of robust, clear and concise client advice and written outputs.

Who should apply:

Candidates with a degree in an ecological discipline, a track record in ecological consultancy, preferably within a specialist ecology consultancy and at least 3 years’ relevant experience. You will hold a full UK driving licence and be a member of IEEM. Ideally you will hold at least one protected species survey licence.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery of consultancy projects from inception to completion, which includes but is not limited to: designing project briefs; production of quotes; fieldwork; provision of client advice; liaison with regulators; production of reports and other outputs; and the management of sub-contractors.
