Job Summary:

As a result of recent team successes and project wins, our client, a successful ecology consultancy is looking to attract a conscientious senior ecologist with particular experience in EcIA, to their London team.  This opportunity presents the successful candidate with the potential to play a key role in the provision of ecological input for a prestigious infrastructure project.

If you have demonstrable experience of EcIA and have considerable strengths in report writing, project management and client liaison, then we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

As a senior ecologist, your brief will include;

  • Managing ecology project teams to deliver work efficiently and to budget
  • Undertaking field surveys and co-ordinating delivery of EcIA literature
  • Providing guidance and professional development to more junior team members
  • Developing working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Managing ecological aspects of large projects & working with site teams
  • Preparation of bids/proposals and development of new areas of business.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful senior ecologist will have:

  • A relevant degree and MSc desirable
  • Full IEEM membership
  • Experience of undertaking ecological duties within a consulting environment.  Experience in the infrastructure sector is desirable
  • Excellent technical expertise in relation to protected species
  • Demonstrable experience in writing, checking and delivering EcIA literature including screening and scoping reports and Environmental Statements;
  • Demonstrable project co-ordination and budget management skills;
  • Full valid driving licence.
