Job title: Senior Ecologist

Job Summary:

 

An exciting opportunity exists with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy, to join the Bristol based ecology team.  As a senior team member, you will provide ecology technical input on a wide range of infrastructure projects and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the wider ecology business.


Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The Senior Ecologist will;

  • Provide technical and project support to the Bristol Ecology team;
  • Assist with the development of junior team members;
  • Prepare bids/proposals and develop new areas of business;
  • Manage budgets and deadlines for projects.

Qualifications / Experience:

  The Senior Ecologist will have;

  • A Degree in a relevant discipline.  MSc desirable;
  • Full Membership of IEEM;
  • Demonstrable experience of working in ecological consultancy;
  • Experience of project co-ordination and budget management;
  • At least one EPS licence;
  • A Full and valid UK driving licence.

 

Technical experience should include;


  • Phase 1 habitat survey and protected species survey capability;
  • Botanical skills, HRA and EcIA experience;
  • Production and implementation of EPS development licence applications;
  • Experience of managing ecological aspects of large projects and working with site teams.
