Senior Consultant

Under the supervision of the Country’s General Manager, you will identify and manage projects related to Low Carbon, climate change adaptation and Energy Conservation in China as well as initiate and develop a consulting team in Beijing.

Key Responsibilities

• Business development:  Identify and assess project opportunities in the area of Low Carbon Economy and Energy Conservation; coordinate existing partnerships and set up new partner networks; conduct commercial negotiations with potential clients and stakeholders; secure consulting mandates and expand the project portfolio
• Customer management: Organize service promotion and initial consultations with potential clients; prepare business proposals and other related documents in both Chinese and English
• Market management: Collect and analyze policies and market information within the sector
• Advisory: Advise clients on all issues relating to climate policy in China and low carbon opportunities

Specific Requirements

You have Master degree and a minimum 4 years of professional experience with at least 2 years related to Low Carbon business; with experience in renewable energy, carbon business, power generation, oil & gas and/ or other similar industries in the Chinese market. You also bring experience in climate policy advisory for government and enterprises. Your proven skills in research, market-study and ability to deliver proposals are accompanied by an in-depth understanding of the international Carbon Market. You are a highly self-motivated sales talentand are well-networked in the sector. You are a good team member and have the strong ability to work independently. Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as proficiency in both English and Chinese are core requirements.

Proficiency in both English and Chinese are an absolute MUST for this position.
