Description
organisation?

Join us and become Senior Commercial and Legal Consultant in our business function Project Development for a fixed-term employment of 12 months. The business function is part of Renewables, a large and rapidly growing business unit with 725 employees.

We are one of the leading companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 20 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom.

You will be joining a newly established support function, Strategy and Performance, with eight committed colleagues with various skills and educational backgrounds. We focus on improving and optimising the development of wind farm projects. You will participate in our work on generating steady-flow project opportunities and developing projects towards final investment decisions.

You will be based at our new office in Gentofte near Copenhagen. However, you should expect some business travels.

Areas of responsibility

You will report to the head of Strategy and Performance. Your primary focus will be to prepare agreements with other energy companies and developers on joint development, construction and operation of offshore wind farms and implementation of best practices across projects in various jurisdictions.

In relation to the establishment of partnership agreements, you will focus on securing the operation of the agreements seen from the wind farm operator’s perspective and the governance structure of the partnerships. You will cooperate closely with our M&A team and your colleagues in our company's department for legal affairs.

Furthermore, you key duties will be to:

  • draft and negotiate project policies for partnerships
  • provide ad hoc advise to project managers on the interpretation of partnership agreements
  • negotiate and update various commercial project agreements across jurisdictions, eg land agreements, cable crossing, site leases and grid connection agreements
  • participate in the drafting of investment recommendations and other management decision papers.

Your profile

You will hold a relevant legal degree, for example corresponding to the Danish educational degrees as cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur. combined with ideally minimum five years of professional experience, eg from a law firm or a large international company.

As we are an international company and work closely together with our colleagues abroad, it will be essential for both positions that you speak and write both Danish and English fluently.

Furthermore, you will have good communication skills and be able to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way to your colleagues and business partners.

It is essential that you are a dynamic professional capable of finding both constructive and practical solutions to commercial, operational and legal challenges. Additionally, you will have interpersonal skills and be wishing to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues to contribute actively to the development of the field.

We offer

You will have unique opportunities to further develop your personal skills and competences in an informal working environment where you can cooperate and spar with experienced and skilled colleagues in a large international organisation. Through your work, you will underpin the implementation of an ambitious strategy for international growth and further development of sustainable and CO2-free energy solutions.

You will have a competitive salary and enjoy flexible working hours and an informal and attractive working environment.

We have a flexible approach, and our culture is felt by our employees' overwhelming desire to deliver great results and to push the boundaries. You will be able to have an influence on where the company is going if you are outspoken, creative and thrive on challenges. In return, you will experience great colleagues, lots of social activities, new initiatives and build your professional competencies on a daily basis.
