Senior / Principal Hydrologist

Working on a variety of projects throughout the UK, from the Company’s offices in Wolverhampton, with a small dedicated team of professionals, due to current workload and continued planned expansion we seek a Senior / Principal Hydrologist.

The role will require an ambitious and commercially-aware leader and provides an exciting opportunity to develop the Company’s consultancy expertise in the monitoring, management and protection of water and water resources. Work areas which would be developed by the successful candidate include hydrogeological/hydrological and flood risk assessments, production of EIA chapters, discharge consent applications, integrated drainage design solutions, watercourse diversions, water resource management solutions, agricultural drainage and irrigation schemes and other areas where the successful candidate has particular strengths.

The ideal successful applicant will:

• Possess a sound understanding of hydraulics and have prior experience in drainage design;

• Have experience in project management and in assisting with planning and environmental permit applications;

• Be qualified to a least degree level in a relevant environmental subject and have a number of years of proven project experience;

• Be a member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. CIWEM) or be working towards full membership.
