Rate: £35,000 – 40,000 DOE

Job Summary:

We are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to appoint a Senior or Principal Air Quality consultant into their property and infrastructure business.  You will play a key role in the leadership and growth of the existing Air Quality team and have the opportunity to work with a range of clients including property developers, investors and commercial organisations as well those within central and local government.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

As part of your brief you will undertake Business Development, Manage Projects and have responsibility for Technical Delivery of air quality projects.

The Air Quality consultant will also;

• Liaison with clients and regulatory bodies
• Provide input to tenders for standalone bids whilst also contributing to additional multidisciplinary bids
• Provide technical supervision and mentoring of junior team members.

Project work is likely to range from small dispersion modelling studies and monitoring programmes through to major residential, industrial and infrastructure environmental impact assessments.

Qualifications / Experience:

The Senior/Principal Air Quality consultant will have;

• A relevant degree. Postgraduate qualification in Air Quality related subject desirable
• IAQM Membership
• Chartered Scientist or Environmentalist status
• Experience of working within multidisciplinary teams
• A flair for Business development with a track record of winning and successfully delivering projects
• Experience of dispersion modelling and GIS packages
• Demonstrable experience of passive and automatic air pollution monitoring
• Good understanding of the LAQM and UK planning and regulatory system
