Malham Tarn is a superb area with one third of the British sedge flora growing within three miles of the Field Centre. This course will be useful for botanical surveyors and anyone interested in finding out about this fascinating group of plants at the beginning of the 'sedge season'. We will visit fen, bog, calcareous mire, grassland and woodland and practise using vegetative and flowering part keys.
