JOB PURPOSE

  • Own and exceed all financial and activity sales targets
  • Lead, manage, develop a successful and experienced team of Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Achievement of sales targets through new business generation and account penetration of recently acquired customers
  • Provision of coaching, development and performance management to Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring sales team activity and pipeline to ensure financial targets are met.
  • To continually drive and forecast sales performance ensuring delivery of the sales plan on a weekly basis.
  • Provision of coaching, development and performance management to Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives
  • Ensure that new business is proactively sourced and developed by seeking out and targeting new customers and new sales opportunities
  • Account management; identifying cross selling and upselling opportunities with existing clients.
  • Analyse sales statistics to manage the team and determine business growth potential
  • Stimulate the sharing of best practice across the team.
  • Manage the pre sales process by collaborating with the bid and delivery teams
  • Develop and improve business relations with all customers
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitor activity and provide competitor analysis for team
  • Manage customised CRM system
  • To undertake other activities as required.

MEASURES:

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Performance against plan.
  • Achievement of team input measures
  • All direct report monthly reviews completed and minuted.
  • Proposal and sales order activity.
