JOB PURPOSE
- Own and exceed all financial and activity sales targets
- Lead, manage, develop a successful and experienced team of Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Achievement of sales targets through new business generation and account penetration of recently acquired customers
- Provision of coaching, development and performance management to Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring sales team activity and pipeline to ensure financial targets are met.
- To continually drive and forecast sales performance ensuring delivery of the sales plan on a weekly basis.
- Provision of coaching, development and performance management to Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives
- Ensure that new business is proactively sourced and developed by seeking out and targeting new customers and new sales opportunities
- Account management; identifying cross selling and upselling opportunities with existing clients.
- Analyse sales statistics to manage the team and determine business growth potential
- Stimulate the sharing of best practice across the team.
- Manage the pre sales process by collaborating with the bid and delivery teams
- Develop and improve business relations with all customers
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitor activity and provide competitor analysis for team
- Manage customised CRM system
- To undertake other activities as required.
MEASURES:
Key Performance Indicators:
- Performance against plan.
- Achievement of team input measures
- All direct report monthly reviews completed and minuted.
- Proposal and sales order activity.
