Maximising opportunities for Wigan farmers and food growers

Based Wigan

Groundwork Lancashire West & Wigan is seeking an individual to help achieve our vision of improving the economic resilience of Wigan farmers and food growers. This would mean working directly with farmers and other food producers to increase the amount of local food purchased by large public and private sector buyers in the borough.

With strong interpersonal and engagement skills you will have an excellent understanding of food production and supply chain issues including the establishment of hubs and cooperatives. You will also have the ability and enthusiasm to drive forward this important project which will help develop Wigan’s rural economy and contribute to sustainable development.
