Durham Wildlife Trust is looking for an enthusiastic individual with knowledge of the ecology and conservation requirements of UK reptiles and experience of wildlife surveying and recording.

Revealing Reptiles is about engagement, knowledge and active involvement in reptile conservation.

The project officer will engage with the public to help them discover and learn about the adders, slow worms and lizards that live in their local area. People will be encouraged to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to explore their local countryside to survey and record reptile signs.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

The contract is for a two year period.  Extension of contract period will be funding dependent.
