Position: Research Associate (Natural Sciences/Engg.)
Location: Bangalore
ATREE is a research organization working in the fields of biodiversity conservation, environment and development. We are looking for a Research Associate to study fate and transport of toxic contaminants in urban streams and their impact on surface and groundwater quality.
The position is part of an ongoing project on ‘Impact of climate change in urbanizing watersheds’. The researcher will work as part of an interdisciplinary team involving natural and social scientists, engage in extensive field data collection, modelling and will participate in the writing up and dissemination of the results.
Essential qualifications and skills
- M.E/M. Tech (Environmental Engineering/water resources)
- Experience in water quality modeling
- Ability to gather and analyze data,
- Competence in English communication, both oral and written
- Willingness to carry out extensive field work
Desirable qualifications
Prior training or experience in working with water quality models
Gross salary
Approximately Rs. 30,000 per month depending upon qualifications and experience. Other benefits as per ATREE norms.
Duration of appointment
Upto 2 years (to be confirmed after the first 6 months)
