  • ODI aims to inspire and inform policy and practice to reduce poverty by locking together high-quality applied research and practical policy advice.
     
    We are seeking a researcher to join the Climate Change, Environment and Forests (CCEF) programme who will contribute to the development and delivery of a portfolio of research, policy advice and public affairs on climate finance. ODI has a strong performance on climate finance, having built up a body of work on this theme over the past two years with an established group of six researchers working at both contributor and recipient-country level.
     
    Notable projects within ODI’s climate change work include:
    • climate-finance delivery in developing countries
    • securing direct access to climate finance
    • the Climate Funds Update website
     
    About you
     
    With a background in development practice and public-finance management, the researcher will bring an understanding of country-level issues in strengthening government planning, budgeting and financial management processes.
     
    The successful candidate will also have:
     
    • a degree and post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline
    • active knowledge of the international climate-change debate
    • experience in producing research outputs
    • strong presentation and networking skills
    • excellent analytical, writing skills
    • strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate successfully and cultural awareness
    • multi-tasking skills
    • the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative and under minimal supervision.
     
     
  • Salary: £26,004 - £30,121
