The BlueGreen Alliance Foundation (BGAF) seeks qualified candidates for the position of Research Assistant in our Minneapolis, MN office.

Job Summary: BGAF is seeking a Research Assistant in our Minneapolis, MN office to join its Clean Economy Manufacturing Center (CEMC), which primarily undertakes economic development initiatives for the Foundation. Our work primarily entails identifying opportunities for domestic manufacturers to produce energy efficiency housing products as well as eliminate harmful chemicals from these products. This includes building shell, HVAC, lighting, water and appliance related products. This position reports to the Director of CEMC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on energy efficiency housing products and companies associated with those products;
  • Update and maintain contents of database for a national energy efficiency multifamily housing project;
  • Provide organizational and logistical support functions for development of project workshops;
  • Manage travel arrangements as necessary;
  • Assist in preparation of materials and presentations;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience or familiarity with clean energy, energy efficiency and/or housing issues either in public or private sector.
  • Familiarity with healthy building products and concepts.
  • Self-starting, highly motivated, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and see discrete projects through to completion.
  • Track record of developing and maintaining collaborative relationships.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
  • Database and website experience a plus.
  • A deep commitment to the mission of the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation.
