Rainforest Co-ordinator – Merapoh, Malaysia
Role
As the Rainforest Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for the day to day running of the volunteer program, Tiger Trail, and be the first point of contact for participating volunteers. Working with the Project Leader and your colleagues you will develop a practical program that introduces volunteers to key aspects of Rainforest conservation and community development around the project.
Description of ideal candidate
A passionate, friendly and social person who has experience of Jungle trekking. They would have a passion not just for the rainforest but also for the environment and will want to make a difference to the local Batek Tribal Community. They would have experience in organising people and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. They would have good command of spoken and written English and experience of living and working with western people. They would be a happy, people person and someone that people can easily discuss issues with. They would be a confident leading jungle trekking and love living in Malaysia.
