Description

Can you motivate a team of highly skilled project leads and engineers who are inspired by responsibility rather than rules?

Join us and become our new Project Manager in our department Construction Project O&M, which is part of Renewables, a large and rapidly growing business unit with 760 employees.

You will be joining one of the leading companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 20 per cent of our power is produced from renewable sources. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom, and our portfolio includes projects in Germany, Poland and Scandinavia.

Together with your colleagues in the department, you will develop and implement the O&M set-up into our construction projects. Furthermore, you will be project manager of other O&M projects, eg large retrofit programmes, modification projects, etc.

Depending on the specific project, you will refer to the programme director or our head of operations and be responsible for the project implementation. In that connection, you will be in charge of the planning and design, purchase as well as the implementation of buildings, vessels and components.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Gentofte near Copenhagen or in Skærbæk near Fredericia.

You should expect some travelling as we have ongoing projects in Northern Europe. The number of travels will depend on your specific tasks and will as far as possible be planned in consideration of your wishes and possibilities. However, we expect the number of travelling days to be 20-50 days on an annual basis.

Areas of responsibility

You will be Project Manager of an O&M project lead team working with the implementation of O&M for our new offshore and onshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will also be responsible for large O&M projects.

You will be responsible for a team ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality and budget for your part of the project. Furthermore, you will chair the team meetings and establish roles and responsibilities of each project member. You will report continuously on the project status to the programme director and the project owners.

You will manage the construction of O&M facilities, including offices, warehouses and harbour logistics.

Furthermore your key duties will be to:

  • implement transport logistics, eg vessels, helicopters and other support vessels
  • implement O&M plans and manuals
  • employ and train local staff
  • implement SAP maintenance programme
  • manage large retrofit and modification projects.

Your profile

You will have a relevant technical education, for example a BSc or an MSc Degree in Engineering or you may be educated as a marine or an operations engineer.

It is essential that you have a strong working background from a top-tier company, preferably from the wind turbine industry where you have acquired business understanding.

You will have five years of experience with project management. Additionally, you will have experience, knowledge and competences equivalent to IPMA level B/C or PMI PMP.

As we are an international company and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad, it is essential that you speak and write Danish and English fluently.

It is essential that you have a strong personal drive and are able to create consensus on a common objective. Additionally, you can handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing perspective.

You will have a business-orientated approach to your work combined with the ability to delegate tasks in a confidence-inspiring way. You will be able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships to your colleagues and external business partners.

We offer

A unique and challenging job in a value-based organisation focusing on decision-making processes. We offer substantial freedom with responsibility and good opportunities to develop new competences and pursue a career within a large international organisation. Through your work, you will underpin the implementation of an ambitious strategy for international growth and continuous development of CO2-free energy solutions.

Our culture is felt by our employees' overwhelming desire to deliver great results and to push the boundaries. You will be able to have an influence on where the company is going if you are outspoken, creative, thrive on challenges and do not quit easily. In return, you will experience great colleagues, lots of social activities, new initiatives and build your professional competencies on a daily basis.

You will have a competitive salary and an informal and attractive working environment. We have an active employee policy, which supports your career throughout the various phases of your working life.
