Project Developer

Join one of the leading companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. At present, the position as Project Developer for offshore wind farm projects is vacant at our office in Central London.

We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 15 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources. Our business is based on producing, distributing and trading energy and related products in Northern Europe. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom. At present, three of our offshore wind farms are in operation, three are under construction and a further seven wind farm projects are being developed.

Areas of responsibility

Together with your colleagues in the project team you will develop wind projects as well as identify and ensure new project opportunities and project rights.

 Furthermore, your primary tasks will be to:

• assist with the development of our project portfolio in the United Kingdom
• assist the management of specialist consultants and advisors including determination of scopes of work, contractor appointment and interpretation of advice received
• develop and maintain relationships with regulators and key stakeholders
• prepare feasibility studies for new sites.
• prepare business cases and internal documentation for internal gate approval process until final investment decision
• identify new project opportunities, participate in due diligence and screening of new opportunities

Your profile

As Project Developer you will ideally have a business, Engineering or financial background and an appropriate level of experience matching the seniority of the position.

It is essential that you have working experience from the wind power industry or the marine environment and that you have obtained experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams.

You will have excellent communication skills and as a team player you will communicate well with colleagues at all organisational levels. You will be proficient in English and speak and write English fluently.

You will be a dynamic professional able to find both constructive and practical solutions to all kinds of operational and technical challenges. Additionally, you will be a proactive player who wishes to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues in order to contribute actively to the development and improvements within the field of offshore wind farms.
