Project Construction Manager (Solar) – MN, USA.

My client is one of the most established and well known construction contractors operating within the renewable energy industry. With a strong track record of completed projects, they are an industry expert in a league of their own.

 

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction of solar PV projects. You will be responsible for all aspects including assisting with project bids and having overall responsibly of the project until completion. You will typically be spending 50% of your time on site and the other in Minnesota, candidates will be given the flexibility to travel home generally every weekend.

 

Responsibilities:-

• Responsible for ensuring that project is completed within budget

• Establish and maintain a working relationship with both the HSE and quality control personal

• Provide all specific project specifications, (travel expenses and policy, project guidelines and procedures)

• Management of all site resources

•  Assisting the estimating team

•  Produce weekly and monthly update reports

•  Ensure that all works are completed within schedule and budget

 

Education:-

          BS in Construction Management or Engineering – Electrical or Civil, preferred

 

Core Requirements:-

•  A minimum of 7 years experience in a supervisory position within the construction industry

•  A minimum of 5 years working experience within the solar PV industry

•   Good understanding of engineering design and construction principles

•   Valid driving license
