We are looking to appoint a creative and lateral thinking person who is positive, adaptable and enjoys a challenge, whilst working with an organised and systematic approach to support the Programme Director in developing our programme and building strategic partnerships.

Key objectives include:

* Building relationships with strategic partners and developing collaborative projects.

* Securing project funding from institutional donors, including identify emerging opportunities.

* Servicing and supporting institutional donors' information needs in addition to coordinating/drafting scheduled regular reporting.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate for this post will have a strong understanding of environment and development issues and will be able to demonstrate experience of project management and implementation in Africa including managing budgets and monitoring and evaluation. They will be skilled in developing project proposals and in securing institutional funds.

They must have good analytical skills and be able to use their understanding of the policy environment in development to develop effective relationships with development agencies and actors. They should be able to combine an ability to produce clear, concise written presentations and reports with a capacity to make effective use of work planning and financial monitoring tools. They should be educated to degree level and have a strong comprehension of written French.

They will be inspired by Tree Aid's mission to alleviate poverty sustainably whilst improving the environment; be committed to empowering families in some of the world's poorest countries to thrive, rather than just survive, through the sustainable use of trees for food, housing, medicines, energy and environmental improvement, and as a source of products that can be sold to pay for essentials such as schooling and healthcare.
