The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology is the UK's Centre of Excellence for integrated research in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and their interaction with the atmosphere. As part of the Natural Environment Research Council, we provide National Capability based on innovative, independent and cross-disciplinary science and long-term environmental monitoring, forming an integral part of NERC's vision and strategy. CEH is seeking a senior scientist to develop, lead and deliver major aspects of our Natural Capital Science Area both in the UK and internationally. We expect you to develop relationships with funders and stakeholders, write proposals, manage staff and deliver research outcomes. To support this we are offering an exciting opportunity to build and lead a team including recruitment of two new team members to augment our expertise in related fields, such as economics, political ecology and social science. As a key member of the Science Area core team, you will also have a key role in influencing, developing and implementing the wider CEH science strategy.
