Job title: Principal Ecologist/Team Leader

Job Summary:

Due to on-going successes and strategic growth plans, our multidiscipline engineering consultancy client is looking to appoint an Ecology Team Leader.  Based in the Manchester office, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the team’s growing workload and coordinate the UK wide ecology team.

 

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

As a Team Leader you will;

  • Primarily support the Regional Ecology Team, moving the ecology business forward whilst focusing on delivering a high quality service.
  • Provide ecological support across the company to other business units.
  • Contribute to companywide marketing initiatives.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

The Ecology Team Leader will have;

  • A relevant Degree.  MSc in a related discipline desirable.
  • Full membership of IEEM.
  • Demonstrable consultancy experience.  A project portfolio including highways and other transportation projects is desirable.
  • Track record of successful project and people management.
  • Extensive experience of building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical skills should include Phase I and Phase II survey and EcIA.
  • At least one protected species licence.
