Principal Ecologist

Job Summary:

We are supporting a successful multi-disciplinary consultancy with their search for an experience Principal Ecologist to join their expanding team in Manchester.

The successful candidate will have experience of leading ecology teams within a consultancy setting and an excellent commercial awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the ecology team in the North of England and develop relationships with new and existing clients.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The Principal Ecologist will:

• Work with contractors to manage the ecological aspects of major construction projects.
• Be responsible for leading the ecology team in the North of England.
• Develop relationships with new and existing clients.

Qualifications / Experience:

The Principal Ecologist will have:

• A degree in ecology or related topic.
• Full membership of CIEEM and be a Chartered Environmentalist.
• A proven track record of leadership with ecological consultancy.
• Experience of liaising with clients.
• Commercial awareness, including project and budget management.
• Excellent report writing skills.
