Client Facing Responsibilities:
- Ensure that multiple projects are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
- Deliver advice relating to all carbon emissions sources including: building energy, travel, waste, supply chain and products and services.
- Analyse carbon consumption patterns and identify opportunities for reduction
- Develop technical, financial and strategic solutions for energy efficiency issues
- Maintain expert knowledge on Climate Change policy (such as the CRC, GHG Reporting
- Guidance, Climate Change Act)
- Implement CRC administration management programmes
- Implement energy and environmental management systems compliant with ISO 16001 and ISO 14001
People Management responsibilities:
- You will be managing a team of consultants supporting organisations through developing & implementing carbon reduction programmes
- Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to feedback for all levels of staff
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
- Build strong internal relationships with inter – divisional teams
Business Development Responsibilities:
- Speaking at Events: roundtables, web conferences, workshops etc
- Researching new companies/ industries
- Attending networking events
- Reviewing existing Envido accounts to spot opportunities to deliver further services
- Completing Tenders & RFI
- Provide pre-sales support to sales team
Education & Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification - MEng, MSc, MA, PHD in Environmental/Engineering discipline.
Experience & Skills
- Line management experience
- Project management skills with proven experience of project completion and successful delivery
- Understanding of and interest in:
- Energy management and buildings energy efficiency
- Carbon footprinting
- life cycle carbon
- Legislation : e.g Carbon reduction Commitment
- Staff engagement and culture change
- Knowledge of UK climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy policy
- Highly numerate and able to manipulate large volumes of data within Excel quickly and accurately
- Ability to produce well structured documents using appropriate language
- Good communication skills, a team player and the ability to work to deadlines
- Client interfacing skills
- Self-starter capabilities and the ability to work under your own initiative.
- Ideally from a consultancy background
