Based in West Perth ecologia conducts botanical studies throughout WA and has a significant in-house team of highly experienced professional Botanists. This vacancy represents a major opportunity to advance your career working within an industry leading biological sciences team that has high credibility with both industry and regulators.
The role requires a botanist with a minimum of 10 years working experience and tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related field is essential. The suitable candidate will have experience in:
- Botanical field surveys;
- Vegetation mapping;
- Rare flora management;
- Botanical data analysis; and
- Reporting to meet government standards
In addition to utilising your technical skills the role will give you the autonomy to manage and develop a team of botanists striving for industry leading excellence. 50:50 technical / management split. As the Principal Botanist you will have excellent organisation skills and a high level of literacy. The ability to work effectively in a team of peers is a prerequisite. This role is critical to and integral with the consultancy business Management Team and as such will work to drive the further growth and development of ecologia.
