PR and Communication Intern (Supporting TerraCycle’s activity in France)

About TERRACYCLE

We are a pioneer company in terms of recycling (reusing the material that composes a type of waste) and upcycling (reusing the material and the shape of a type of waste) of post-consumer waste that are traditionally non-recyclable. TerraCycle (www.terracycle.co.uk) works with over sixty brands in 8 countries to provide innovative solutions for the hard to recycle waste.

The TerraCycle system has grown dramatically in scale - globally there are over 11 million people collecting waste for TerraCycle, a number which is growing by half a million people per month. On average 5-10 articles are written about TerraCycle's brands partners solving for their waste stream per day and the TerraCycle brand is now on over 6.3 billion consumer products per year.

INTERNSHIP TASKS

• Supporting TerraCycle’s activity in France,
• Translate and participate in the creation and adaptation of marketing and PR materials such as press kit, press release, posters,
• Keep updated a Press List and follow up on the journalists on this list,
• Keep TerraCycle’s French website up to date,
• Support with customer services,
• Support with the search of logistic partners on the Spanish market.
• Animate TerraCycle’s French Facebook page.
• Support as needed on any kind of project related to the activity of TerraCycle in France.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The most suitable intern for this position would have the following:

• Recently graduated from a business or language-related degree
• Strong aptitude for communications and a good understanding of the internet and social media
• French native speaker and fluent in English
• Strong writing skills in Spanish with demonstrated ability to create high quality content
• Interest in environmental issues
• Enthusiastic team player and positive attitude, able to integrate our small team in London as well as to work with a virtual team in the US.

• Some IT skills
• Knowledge of Photoshop would be an advantage
• Flexibility, ability to multitask, able to work independently and exercise initiative
