This day course is for those interested in learning about the diversity of life in freshwater ponds. Epping Forest has around 100 temporary and permanent ponds with fantastic biodiversity. The course will be 'hands-on' in style and there will be ample opportunity to carry out sampling techniques at several ponds. The diversity of the freshwater pond habitat will be examined from a practical viewpoint, addressing the identification and biology of typical freshwater specimens.

This course runs from 09.30 to 16.00 and includes a free FSC guide 'Freshwater Name Trail'. Please bring a packed lunch.
