IMPORTANT: This Advertiser has requested that applicants MUST be National Residents / Valid Work Permit-holders. Other applicants need not apply.
The postholder will undertake a programme of inspections based on targeted work, working independently and/or as part of a team. The work invovles examining plants, trees, soil and other material for symptoms of disease on various sites including ferry ports, private holdings, nurseries, garden centres and public land, taking samples of suspicious plant material and sending them for analysis. Liaising with other inspectors over action required for suspect material, and ensuring that all results are accurately recorded and that work in progress is co-ordinated with other inspectors in the region.
