Plant Ecologist (up to 3 posts)

 Purpose of job

The purpose of this job is to carry out plant-based ecological field and desk studies, particularly those related to the monitoring and evaluation of agri-environment policies encouraging environmentally sustainable management of agricultural land.

 The post holder will:

• Undertake field ecological evaluation and research involving sampling and identification of plants;
• Conduct farmer interviews to collect management information associated with management of features in agri-environment schemes;
• Undertake ecological desk studies, including literature reviews;
• Draft reports / sections of reports;
• Assist with organization of survey work connected with agri-environmental evaluation studies;
• Assist with data entry and checking.
